Morton Auctioneers and Appraisers located in Houston, Texas, is pleased to announce that we are now featuring online auctions.
Mark W. Sommerfield, Auction Manager and Auctioneer states, “Morton has always had internet bidding, but now with online auctions we can offer more merchandise than before, giving bidders many more options.”
Morton Auctioneers has been a Houston institution for nearly 25 years and keeps up with changing technology by offering new ways to bid. “Even Houstonians who cannot get to the auction itself are bidding online, as are the non-Houstonians andforeign bidders. Online auctions are another way of extending our reach; bidders can preview the merchandise online, ask the Auctioneer questions about the item(s) up until the sale. We also register our clients’ merchandise on three other websites, in addition to our own, so that the maximum number of people are able to preview and bid.

MORTON HOUSTON NOW HAS A NEW AUCTIONEER
Morton Auctioneers and Appraisers has a new auctioneer in Houston, Texas.
Mark W. Sommerfield will be taking to the rostrum in March to assist the other auctioneers.
Morton Auctioneers has been an auction institution for nearly 25 years, and deals in fine art, antique furniture, silver, jewelry and porcelain, just to name a few of our specialties.
Mark graduated from the Texas Auctioneers Academy earlier this year and passed the Texas Regulation and Licensing Department examination.
Mr. Luis Morton, owner of Morton Auctioneers, recently stated, “We are pleased to have Mark Sommerfield as a welcome addition to our auctioneer staff. We believe he will be well received with our bidders. Mark is not only an auctioneer, but is also a consignments specialist and senior cataloguer, so he is very familiar with our merchandise.”
Look for Mark to make his debut on the rostrum in late March, as he works with our other auctioneers Kelly McDaniel and Colette Mayers.
